Geography
Geography is a vital part of understanding the world we live in. It helps us explore different places, cultures, and environments, and understand how they are connected.
Our Geography curriculum is designed to:
- Encourage a love for exploring the world and a curiosity about different places
- Build confidence in using geographical knowledge, skills, and vocabulary
- Develop map-reading, fieldwork, and analytical skills
- Support working independently and collaboratively to investigate geographical questions
- Help children apply their understanding of geography to other areas of learning
Our curriculum guides children to explore local and global environments. We use maps, fieldwork, and interactive activities to help children understand physical and human geography. By studying different regions, landscapes, and cultures, as well as the area we live in, children develop a strong sense of place and an appreciation for the diversity of the world around them.
